Utilizing Your Wildlife Home Decor In A Room To Create A Sanctuary
Wildlife decor is a daily reminder of the wonderful memories of an unforgettable two-week vacation, a long weekend adventure or even a Sunday afternoon in a county park. Why come home from a week in the mountains or a day at the state park with only pictures that end up stuck in our camera or on the film roll shoved in a drawer and know that they will be easily and quickly misplaced? Remember those precious moments with family and friends by including wildlife home decor in your decorating scheme.
Most of the time personalized gifts add a special touch to your favorite room. You don’t have to change the upholstery on your couch to red-checked flannel, have stuffed animals or hang a moose head in every room or only cook with cast iron skillets on an open hearth fireplace in the kitchen. But a few things strategically placed can add a feeling of the outdoors that reminds us of a wonderful trip and keeps our minds on the importance of wildlife.
Even if we wanted to, everyone can't live in a log home. Our suburban neighbors may think we have gone nuts! But including wildlife home decor brings a sense of wonder about the beauty of nature and the intricate balance that’s so much in jeopardy on this earth. Soft lights, soft music, the sense of awe of the outdoors is shown more by including wildlife decor in our decorating plan. We might even sit in our easy chair in the comfort and warmth of our own home only to close our eyes and feel like we were still in that rustic cabin in the woods or in that log cabin in the mountains. We open our eyes and gaze upon some beautiful piece of wildlife art that helps remind us of to those unforgettable times with family, friends, and the joy of nature and wonder.
We like plants and flowers inside our homes, evidence of trying to bring the outside in. We enjoy picture windows and garden windows and use them to bring the outside in. Why not include that beautiful wildlife feeling in our home furnishings also? We can't always be inside. It is expected to want to enjoy the outdoors and not be cooped up in the house so take a walk, enjoy the sights and sounds of the outdoors or have a cookout. When we are able bring the spirit of those things right into our home, we have made our home a more enjoyable place to be as well as a constant reminder of our duty to nature and the world we live in. Encourage conversation with our family, neighbors, friends, and even co-workers that we are the stewards of this earth and it is our duty to protect it.
Whether we are using wildlife in decorating our own home or giving wildlife mirrors, we are reminded each day to reuse, recycle, and reduce. We want future generations to enjoy and protect these precious resources as much as we have.
