Understanding How HVAC Structure Fail

There are therefore pulleys, gears, insulators, condensers and belts to convey power from the motor to mechanical apparatuses like blowers. Too loose and the belt may slip, rubbing itself against the metal and later breaking; too tight and it will overstrain one area of the bearing or bushing, later creating an imbalanced armature motion which will build heat in the motor.
Clogged evaporator passages, meantime, may create leaks because of increased water pressure or at the very least increase power consumption due to necessarily more work for the pumps. And as everybody knows, more mechanical work speeds up metal wear and earlier machine breakdown. This also is true for condenser coils plus higher compressor working temperatures.
Finally, dirty air filters lower airflow efficiency, increases compressor operation and consequently higher power consumption and costs. Improperly lubricated bearings impair systems work the same way: lower machine effectiveness, faster wear, increased power consumption, and more advanced machine failure.
All of these develop gradually so that often their taking place is unnoticed, or perhaps the installation of the system is haphazard at the beginning. It is important therefore to be aware of any alterations in the efficiency of the system after sometime, or contract professionals to perform regular periodic maintenance for it.
