There Aren't Enough Hours in a Night
After spending the previous three months on basically a cot, the student living center referred to it as a twin-sized bed, but that’s really stretching it. It was a rundown mattress concaved like a banana, on the top of wooden . That’s not a bed. My constant morning back ache is a evidence. Needless to say after coming home to my full-size bed and still maintaining back pains, something had to give. Ask my friends and family, you don’t exactly want to mess with me if I’m tired or didn’t get to sleep soundly. Well, neither can happen if I don’t have a good bed to sleep on. Granted, my mattress at home is about eight years old so the thought of purchasing new bedding has undoubtedly crossed my mind. Since bedding isn’t something I want to a) be cheap about or b) undertake again for another 10 years, I needed to be comprehensive in costs and comfort when purchasing for a new mattress.
Being a product of my ever-growing technological environment, I determine prices online prior to heading to stores to experiment the comfort component. Mattress Mart’s website was the most informative in how to choose a new bed/box spring set. I mean they even present a ‘bedding guide’. My mom sleeps on a Therapedic Mattress, which was almost what I looked-for from the start. When I slept on it, I felt energized and like I ultimately understood what it was like to sleep on a quality bed. With that, I planned to try out some different pro-health beds. Did I mention Mattress Mart offers an environmental friendly mattress? Yeah, I didn’t know they existed either. One of the points why I love living in Kalamazoo is because we are big on recycling and being local. Good to know at least one mattress brand is ‘green’ and it’s sold by a local business.
A lot seems to have advanced in the mattress industry since I last shopped for a new bed, which mind you, was when I was 14. This is probably common sense to most, but I never noticed a difference in owning a box spring, however, I’ve never had one either. Hm, according to wonderful workers at Mattress Mart, it’s a very important aspect in deciding a superior mattress. Good to know. Buying a new bed to me is just like buying a new car: it’ll be a procedure; I’m not about to settle for something I don’t hope for, and I like to be guaranteed I’m getting the _finest_ for my dollar.
