Our Kitchen Refit

Working in Salisbury, Wiltshire we have just finished an entire remodelling of our Kitchen, after we had the overall kitchen planning worked out we ensured we had the builder in ahead of the other jobs to prevent them getting the fresh units covered in dust to make a space through into the dining room and outside using Oak Beams to support the wall.

To generalise the kitchen layout was a simple U with a central island counter, with a pot rack from the beams. The Fitted Kitchen was in a really light oak with spotlights picking up key work areas. We put additional under floor illumination into the kitchen and out into the outside and fitted External Lighting to shine down onto the oak flooring or decking outside.

We had the Electrical contractors in Salisbury in, prior to installing the kitchen to make sure all of the wiring was in place. And finally brought in the lovely new oak Cabinets. To finish of this mini project we put in some beautiful Marca Corona Evolution tiles which looked good with the oak but provided the kitchen a really nice feel.

Its always worth taking your time when choosing what you want from a kitchen. We bought lots of papers and trauled through the internet to discover images we connected with, we then narrowed them down until we had a clearer image of things that would work in the space that we had allotted. Try to keep a scrap book so that when the time comes to talk to people that can do the work for you, they will know the type of thing you require.
