Now that you decided to work at home, you may now be thinking of where to exactly work in your home. Obviously, the bedroom is not a good place to work. The living room is not a good idea to work either as there are a lot of distractions there. For this reason, most people convert their spare room into a mini home office or study area.

To decorate a spare room and maximize best your study area, you must paint you walls with either cream, pale green, blue or install some mild wallpaper like gentle floral designs. You can also decorate your walls with few pictures or wall designs. You should also try to invest o a few important furniture like a computer table, desk, and a proper straight-backed chair.

Try to also put up several shelves for storage and preserving files that you may need. You should add some small cabinets if your computer table does not have any attached drawers in it.
