Color trends come – and color trends go. In the fifties, the trend was that certain shade of green that could be found in everyone’s kitchen – most appliances were the same color of green. Then, for a while the trend was yellow appliances – and then white. Now, many people prefer stainless steel appliances. The good thing about color trends when it comes to decorating your home is that even if you choose to go a different route, it is okay. Most homes reflect the tastes and spirit of the owner. 

Your home is the one place where you are allowed to make a statement – and share a bit of your inner self with anyone that enters through your doors. Color can set the tone of the room and the moods of the people who use the room. It is often suggested that you use bright colors in a babies room – so that the room is cheery and happy for baby and so that baby can learn to focus on one thing at a time. Many times a girl’s room will be done in pink, while a boy’s room may be done in blue. But is it really okay to break away from the norm?
