Double Vanity Sinks Are An Easy Diy Project

If you are interested in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of or otherwise reinvigorating your bathroom, consider installing a charming small bathroom sink vanity. These are remarkably useful and charming features that not only look great, but they often significantly enhance the market value of your home and property as well. With so many small bathroom sink vanity resources online, and so many distinct vanity options available to you, you are practically guaranteed to find the perfect small bathroom sink vanity for your home. Below I will outline just a few of the most common bath vanity types.

There may be no better way to give your home a quaint, rustic appeal than to install double vanity sinks. This does not mean that these double vanity sinks sacrifice any space or utility; they are specifically engineered to give your bathroom that desirable traditional aesthetic while simultaneously improving bathroom efficiency with modern ingenuity. They are most often built in hard wood materials such as oak, cherry, mahogany, maple, and teak. Wood double sink bath vanities are polished and sealed with a strong coating that protects them from water damages and improves their environmental resistance. Nevertheless, it is certainly in your best interests to properly care for your wood bath vanity as they are a bit more susceptible to water and mildew damage than other small bathroom sink vanity types. Make sure that you wipe away any water that may have collected on your vanity counter top. Additionally, when the time comes to clean your vanity, make sure that you use only those cleaning solutions that do not harm wood and wood finish. With proper care, your antique bath vanity will retain its inherent beauty for years to come.

Not all vanities are designed with an antique look in mind, of course. For the hip home designer, there are a number of modern antique double vanities available. These polished, sleek vanities are perfect for that contemporary, perhaps industrial look you need for your classy, modern home. They are most often available with metal counter tops, such as stainless steel or even copper. Many modern vanities use stone counter tops as well; try granite or onyx for a darker, more robust aesthetic, or try marble for a more colorful and polished appearance. Some of these antique double vanities use tempered glass sinks to really add to the functional charm of your bathroom.

You’ll need to consider more than just the aesthetic aspects of your vanity, however; space is perhaps the most pressing matter when it comes to home remodeling, particularly in the bathroom. For smaller bathrooms, such as those often found in apartments or small houses, consider investing in corner bathroom vanities. These vanities boast all of the utility and elegance of full sized antique double vanities, but they can fit into any corner, making them remarkably space efficient.

For a larger bathroom or (particularly) a shared bathroom, it may be worth your while to look into a double small vanity. These antique double vanities feature two cabinet spaces, two sinks, and often two mirrors as well. Double bathroom vanities allow both you and your partner to use the bathroom simultaneously, without having to worry about sharing sink time or getting hygienic tasks done efficiently and fairly. Imagine an end to the “whose turn is it” question, as both you and your house mates can accomplish daily hygienic tasks without quarrel.

Following Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Robes Through The Seasons

Winter trends point to a resurgence of interest in Barefoot Dreams Cozychic robes. Imagine our surprise when we learned that the barefoot Dreams distribution centers are totally jammed with orders throughout the holiday season and into spring of 2009. The sponsorship of Barefoot Dreams by Rinka, Japanese TV personality and sought-after model, has definitely helped fan the flames of these spa robes. However, we cannot give all the credit to the “Rinka affect,” but also keep in mind Barefoot Dreams’ steady growth as a luxury clothing manufacturer.

Rather, we should not overlook the power of personal referrals and repeat customers when investigating the success of the company’s flagship Barefoot Dreams Cozychic robes. The robes are knitted with the super soft and durable Cozychic fabric, a poly microfiber that is also a breeze to care for and gets softer with each wash. Another new addition to the family of robes is a thinner luxury robe that is appropriate for warm climes but still has that characteristic cozier-than-thou feel. I personally have heard from customers who were personally impressed by these robes, enough so that they returned to buy the same robes for the rest of their family as well as friends. With interest skyrocketing for all Barefoot Dreams products, especially in Japan and its consumer outposts like Hawaii, the company has promised that the manufacturing bottleneck will soon be solved by new production levels, greater than ever before.

The Utility And Elegance Of 60\" Bathroom Vanities

The real estate market isn’t always doing well, and sometimes selling your home can be a truly daunting task. But just because times are tough doesn’t mean that selling your home is impossible, and one great way to instantly increase the marketability of your home is to install a unique and aesthetically effective (not to mention useful) bathroom vanity. Many home remodelers and professional home designers will tell you: nothing adds style and character to your home quite like bathroom vanities.

The difficulty, really, lies in finding a vanity that fits in just right with your home’s existing design. There are literally thousands of unique permutations when it comes to vanities, with countless styles, patterns, materials, and designs. So, how does one hunt for the ideal vanity? First, and most importantly, you must consider the dimensions of your desired vanity. All bathrooms have different dimensions, meaning yours is most definitely smaller than some, and larger than others. Because bathroom vanities come in an array of sizes, from small (25\" bathroom vanities, for example) to large (48\" bathroom vanities and larger), you will have to note the dimensions of your bathroom well before hand to properly accommodate your new bathroom installation.

If you have an apartment or small townhouse, for example, it’s a good possibility that your bathroom (or bathrooms) is smaller than that of the average family home. These bathrooms are built with utility and efficiency, rather than comfort, in mind. Very rarely will you find a small bathroom like this outfitted with a medium or large sized bath vanity, favoring instead the space efficient small vanities. 25" bathroom vanities are fantastic choices for such a bathroom, because they are easy to install anywhere you need them. The majority of these small vanities are built to fit snugly into corners so that they don’t impede bathroom traffic. These 25\" bathroom vanities make the most of their size, providing sufficient storage space for an individual person’s bath items and hygienic supplies.

On the other hand, medium sized bathrooms call for medium sized vanities. Small vanities look rather out of place in a normal sized bathroom, because they take up too little space to be particularly noticeable. Medium sized vanities, like 45\" bathroom vanities, are a bit larger but provide more storage space than small vanities. They are highly efficient storage features, and they also add charm to your bathroom. They are also fairly sturdier than small bath vanities, and are able to support more weight on the counter tops. These vanities often come with a larger price tag than small vanities, and their size makes them harder to install, but they are worth it in terms of sheer practical convenience. 42" bathroom vanities also have sufficient room to install an attached full size mirror, which will really help you get hygienic tasks done effectively.

Larger bathrooms, and in particular bathrooms that you share with a handful of other people, generally call for much larger vanities, for both practical and aesthetic purposes. To enhance the sophistication and utility of your large bathroom, consider installing 48\" bathroom vanities or larger. These large vanities often provide more than enough room for two vessel sinks and accompanying vanity mirrors. The major advantage to this is that you won’t need to bother yourself with the “whose turn is it” argument; you and your partner can use the bathroom sink simultaneously with double vanities like 60" bathroom vanities. As far as beauty and sheer convenience are concerned, bath vanities simply do not get any better than this.

Giving My Bathroom A New Layout With Tiles

I recently spent some time looking at my bathroom layouts and thought that it could do with a new look. I figured that it was about time for a change of style as some of the fittings were starting to fall apart slightly. The way I saw it was that at this moment in time it is unlikely that I would be able to sell my house even if I wanted to. By looking into making small changes to my bathroom layout I could make it a more relaxing place to bathe and increase the value of my house for the future.

After having a look around my bathroom, I thought there were a variety of different options I could try that would not take a lot of effort but would give the bathroom a fresh look. The first things that I noticed about the bathroom were the bath, toilet and sink as they had started to look like they had corroded and were past their prime. However I soon changed my mind about getting a new fitted bathroom because they were out of my price range and I could always grab a brush and some bleach to get them clean. I then looked at the tiles around the shower and bath and realised that I could easily re-tile the walls. I then thought that I could probably do the same with the floor in order to create a visual effect for the whole bathroom layout.

The bathroom tiles on the wall were stained and garish so I headed off to my local do it yourself shop in search of inspiration. I came to the conclusion that I should go for some ceramic floor tiles in black and white so I could create a checked effect on the floor. I then decided to combine this with black and white marble tiles for the walls around the bath and sink. Instead of going for a chequered effect I decided to go for blocks of black ceramic tiles amongst the white ceramic tiles.

The assistant at the bathroom tiles area of the shop was great and gave me some useful advice as how to best lay my floor tiles and bathroom wall tiles without damaging the surface underneath or the tiles themselves. He also told me the best tile adhesive for both of these jobs and gave me a some hints and tips for using it.

A couple of weeks later and my bathroom has been reinvigorated with life, giving my bathroom a brighter and more contemporary look without needing to hire in tiling contractors. I've been so happy with how my bathroom now looks that I have already started looking into taking on my kitchen with my trusty trowel and some ceramic tiles.

What To Consider When Buying Luxury Towel Warmers

For any bathroom, it really would be an advantage if we could hang our cold towels on one of those wonderfully warm luxury towel warmers, and allow them to get fresh and crisp again. These genuinely useful bathroom accessories help to easily provide bathers with nice, warm, heated towels. Towel warmers are quite simple to put in and help to make your bathroom look more attractive and classy as well.

These days, there is a wide array of luxury towel warmers, designer radiators and heated towel rails sold, and these come in a variety of shapes and sizes as well. You could opt for those which have designs that are able to either hold several towels or hang one at a time. The towel rails available today also come in interesting shapes, colors and styles, ranging from classic-looking ones, to more modern and high-tech variants. With so much to choose from, it would help if you select one that complements your bathroom’s existing styles, and also fits well in your bath area. Generally, these bathroom accessories are crafted to work well with a home’s central heating system. These are also equipped with knobs and adjustment modes that help you regulate the amount of heat for drying your wet towels and clothes.

Basically, you could also opt for a plumbed-in or electric heated towel rail. According to home heating experts, a plumbed-in heated towel rail is more affordable, and this can easily be connected or plumbed into your current central heating system, just like any other type of radiator. However, you need to have in advance the proper pipe work in place, to enable its easy installation. A plumbed-in towel rail will only run whenever the central heating system in your home is switched on. Electric heated towel rails on the other hand, come equipped with a specially designed heating solution that needs to be connected to your electric power supply. This means that it will operate independently from the main central heating apparatus, and can be switched on or off depending on the weather or climate conditions in your area. An electric heated towel rail however, is considered to be more costly than a plumbed-in design. If you’re having a tough time deciding on which of the two are good for your bathroom, then you could opt instead for a dual-fuel heated towel rail. This variety operates just like any standard radiator, so when your home’s central heating system is on; it gets its power from it. However, during hot and damp seasons, you could opt to connect this to your electric power sockets. Dual-fuel towel heaters are widely popular these days.

For additional advice on installation and other heater options, it helps to ask for assistance from a professional heating engineer. This person could help you choose the appropriate models and designs, as well as advise you on helpful power-saving tips and guidelines. A heating engineer will also assist you in locating the best spot for positioning your heated towel rail. For example, if your electric, plumbed-in or dual-fuel heated towel rail serves only as a secondary heat source, the heating engineer could help you in properly wiring these, as well as in positioning the heater in such a way that it effectively heats up the room and does not pose as a fire or electrocution hazard. However, if the towel rail you buy will serve as your primary source of heat, then he could help you place it on the largest external wall of your bathroom for instance.

Currently, there are a lot of heated towel rail designs and materials to choose from. Consumers could opt for rails made from stainless steel or brass, although many opt for chrome towel rails. While most view brass to be a quite costly model, towel rail experts say that this type generally works well and is tougher than the stainless steel towel heater, since it does not easily corrode. There are also other heaters made from aluminum and cast iron, which help to create a more traditional look feel to the bathroom.

What You Should Recognize about Bath Salts

Bath salts will not be practical if several ingredients like perfume and aroma are not be added into it. Because as one of the relaxing treatment, bath salts must be combined with perfume and aroma, so that it will become such aromatherapy. In order to make ideal bath salts, you can add them with table salts, baking soda, borax, Epsom salts, sodium sesquicarbonate, and if needed add oils and foaming agents.

Baths are comforting, relaxing, and extremely one of the most therapeutic things that you can do at home by yourself. Essentially, bath salt is one of the courses to make your bath activity even more enjoyable for your body and also advantageous for your health.

Make Your Own

Of course you can just purchase bath salts, but there is an optional way of making your own bath salts in order to save your money. The process is very fast and easy to do, and of course, much more inexpensive. Because of that, you have to try the bath salts at home.

The first step is to gather the ingredients together that you are going to need. One thing that you have to remember are different recipes will identify for different materials. For a basic batch of bath salts you will need one cup of Epson salts, one cup of baking soda, two tablespoons liquid glycerin, several food coloring, and essential oils.

Afterward, you can begin by measuring the Epsom salts and baking soda, then mixing them together well, and after that you can add the glycerin and about four drops of the food coloring you have already select.

The next step is to add in a few drops of essential oils and make sure that you mix up well, so that there will be no lumps. Now you can begin to remove the bath salts to an ornamental jar.

Bath salts are not only made to fill your need, but also can made for present to someone you love. If you decide to give bath salts for present, you may wrapped it with a ribbon and adorn it by yourself. Now, you can give a special gift to your friends or your partners.

When you want to add the bath salts to your bath, it is better for you to add them just before you get in the bathtub, so that you can experience and enjoy their full effect of aromatherapy. If you add the bath salts into the water too soon, the heat from the water will evaporate the fragrance of the essential oils so that, the fragrance will not be as delightful as when you let them first in the bathtub.

In fact, there is still another course in order to make the bath salts, that is trying to add a few tablespoons of dried herbs or flower petals to the mix, in this case rose petals are mostly well-liked. The effects of oil extract are the same with aromatherapy effect. It can lead you to be more refreshed.

The aromatherapy effects in bath salts make you feel relax, give the positive thinking, and make you shun anxiety and illness. In order to save your money, you can make them by yourself. Reusable Bags Are A Better Alternative Than Paper Bags

Today's world is more eco-sensitive than ever and many people still think that paper bags are a better choice than plastic bags. They aren't.

According to a 2006 report from the US Environmental Protection Agency, paper makes up more than 30 percent of our municipal solid waste. Over 10 billion paper bags are consumed each year in the United States alone. In other words, there are 14 million trees harvested for their production.

When compared to plastic grocery bags, paper bags produce 70 percent more atmospheric emissions, consume 40 percent more energy, generate 80 percent more solid waste, and release up to 94 percent more waterborne wastes (According to the Film and Bag Federation).

This tells us that the energy consumption and pollution that paper bag production and disposal/consumption generates prevents paper bags from becoming an eco-friendly way to stop using plastic grocery bags. So what are the other, more preferable options?

The above information points us in the direction of reusable shopping bags. Reusable shopping bags are really the one true alternative for reducing the negative impact of disposable bags on our environment. With a growing number of manufacturers of these bags there is an increasing variety of availability in terms of sizes and styles. Make a socially and environmentally conscious choice for bag use today.

Gift Giving Tips For The Hard-to-shop-for

Many market analysts are expecting this holiday season to be on the light side as consumers hold on to their wallets harder than they have in a decade. So what is the best way to stay in the black but still give good gifts? The secret is to shop smarter than ever before by focusing on your family's core interests and their emotional needs.

This is easier than it sounds. To start with, focus on your relationship with the gift recipient and note your shared interests and hobbies. Look back at this compiled list of hobbies and interests and think about what gifts you would like to have. You may notice that many of these hypothetical gifts are not expensive – even though they are really useful. This is due to the fact that small, thoughtful purchases outnumber the big “anchors” of a particular interest or passion. All it takes is some time to truly consider your connection to your gift receiver; and before you know it you have a list of inexpensive gifts that you know they will truly appreciate.

Sometimes, though, you don't know much about someone you are expected to bring an expensive gift for; this is common for bosses, in-laws, and ministers or rabbis. In this scenario, it's recommended that you stick close to the “creature comforts” that we all have in common. One classic example is luxury bath wear: hardly anyone will buy this for themselves because they don't think they deserve to “pamper” themselves. A perfect solution is a microfiber robe. This soft robe made of some of the softest fabric on the planet and will surely be appreciated. Similarly, cozy slippers, a warm lap blanket, or a set of high quality chocolates are gifts that everyone loves but seldom gets for themselves.

Your Free Guidebook to Bathroom and Shower Ideas – Useful Secrets

Although you may use your bathroom for primarily practical purposes this is not a reason to avoid making an effort to ensure that this is a pleasant room to spend time in. A comfortable and well laid out bathroom can help you relax after a busy day. There is nothing like a good soak in the bath in a warm, welcoming, well appointed and pleasant room!

Bathroom Design Ideas

We all want different things from a bathroom. Some of us, for example will simply want a bath, toilet and sink with a bit of storage space built in. Others may want to add additional features such as shower, specialist baths or may even want to turn the entire room into a wet room. Modern online and high street bath retailers like Showermania, allow us to turn our bathrooms into a statement that our parents` generation can only wonder at. From imported Italian and Spanish marble floor and tiling finishes through to designer taps from Germany and luxury linens from across the globe, a modern bathroom can be a truly international affair.

Space is the first issue to think about, particularly if your bathroom is small. Small doesn`t mean low impact. It is quite possible to achieve a striking effect with well chosen sanitary ware and finishing touches. Designing the perfect bathroom with limited space can take some time and effort. If you have a larger bathroom then be careful not to make it too impersonal and cold by not putting in enough furniture or by having the suite placed in an unbalanced way. Small or large, remember that bathroom manufacturers and designers can show you a range of different types of fixtures and fittings specifically designed for certain sizes and shapes of bathroom.

It is also important to think about the style and colour of the fixtures and fittings that you choose. Beware over-enthusiastic salespeople pushing that `retro` olive coloured suite. Ten years ago we all saw endless numbers of suites in precisely the same colour in skips lining suburban roads as the white suite became dominant. Think resale value. Think living with it in a year`s time. The style that you choose here – from the classic to the ultra modern – will depend on your personal preference, what you want in the bathroom and how much space you have at the end of the day. Modern or traditional both have their attractions, with high quality offerings in both camps now at an affordable price. Do consider the rest of the house.

Conclusion

It is also important not to forget about bathroom accessories. These can not only make your bathroom feel comfortable but, if well chosen, they can elevate a fairly banal budget suite to new heights. Finally, do remember to factor in the costs of the more expensive single items that you buy as part of a bathroom remodeling project into your overall home insurance value to make sure that you can get the proper coverage if the worst happens.

Redesigning Your Bathroom? Need A Few Tips? Look No Further!

Are you currently revamping your bathroom? Have you considered using bathroom mirrors to help to create your desired effect? Why not? Bathroom mirrors add an exciting new dimension to bathroom designs.

Mirrors Reflect Light – This Can Be Used For Design Purposes

Good use of mirrors can really enhance your bathroom. Not only do mirrors reflect your image, but they also reflect light, which can make your bathroom appear more inviting and spacious. Mirrors reflect light, both natural and artificial, which can add a certain sparkle or vibrancy to any bathroom. Be sure to arrange your mirrors in such a way that they reflect the major sources of light entering or emanating from your bathroom, i.e. natural light from outside and artificial light from the bathroom lighting.

Create The Desired Effect With The Correct Size And Shape

The size and shape of your mirrors are vitally important design aspects that need to be kept in mind when decorating your bathroom.

Oval shaped mirrors create a soft, feminine atmosphere in your bathroom. On the other hand, a square mirror can give your bathroom a more solid look. To create the impression of more space, it is advised to use rectangular bathroom mirrors.

Design Elements Must Not Clash

First look at the overall design or theme of your bathroom before buying your bathroom mirrors. It is important to ensure that the mirrors that you buy match the rest of the bathroom.

If a contractor or interior designer redesigned your bathroom, it is best to consult him or her before buying your bathroom mirrors. He or she will be able to provide you with expert advice regarding the correct, or most appropriate, shape and size of the mirrors that will round off or complete your bathroom design.

If you did a DIY job on your bathroom, make sure that you examine your plans carefully to ascertain which mirrors best complement your design.

Don't Limit Yourself

Do not limit yourself to the basic shapes of the mirrors – experiment with different sizes, shapes, and colors of bathroom mirrors so that you will be able to get the best results. Be creative! The bathroom mirrors that you choose should satisfy your wants and needs, and, most importantly, reflect your personality.

Advice On Bathroom Accessories

Bathroom Decor
Most of us realize just how much a decor of a room can say about us, and are careful to decorate accordingly. For example, it demonstrates the the things we like and do not like, and can give insights into our character. A practical person would demonstrate their practicality in the way that they chose efficient storage solutions in their kitchen, for instance. A lounge area painted in neutral, natural colors would give similar insight into someone who likes to relax after a long day of hard work.

Glancing into a red, satin themed bedroom gives an even better indication of a part of a personality that not everyone sees. In designing a decor for the home, it is important to separate areas that everyone will see from the private ones. When you have a party, for instance, you will naturally have different areas in your home which you shall open up to guests and ones which will be off limits.

Bathroom Ideas

As bedrooms are seen only by a select few people, many people choose to go ahead and splurge on the decoration. Flooring is an important decor decision, and when you pick the appropriate flooring, you will want to take into account exactly how much traffic your floor sees on a daily basis. As with other types of home decoration, the colors, types, and quality put into the home's floor can give important clues to the characterization of the individual. Busy traffic areas like the hallway or kitchen are great for hard wearing laminates, whereas a soft carpet material such as wool is better for the bedrooms.

Bathroom Accessories

Your personality will also be evident in the accessories you select to complement your decor. Lighting is a definite tool that should be used to your advantage, as they invariably affect how the room is perceived. Whether you are looking for more light that you actually need, or simply looking to light areas for aesthetic reasons, a spotlight is a great way to give your home the extra light it needs. Many different rooms in the home can be decorated thusly.

Along with spotlights, single light fittings can be immensely helpful in the manner in which you showcase individual items that matter to you. If on the other hand you are minimalist, you may prefer the experience of general mood lighting instead. Many individuals do not realize how much the types of style and highlight decor of their home say about them.

Making more space in your bathroom may include installing shelves under the sink or over the toilet. You can even install shelves around the bathtub; they make small corner shelves now that just screw into the wall at one or both ends of the bathtub. You can also purchase a shelf rack that will hang from your showerhead.

If you want to use paint instead of wall tiles, use pastel colors to give the bathroom more of a warm secure feeling. Some colors have been proven to actually set a mood when you walk into the bathroom. And a mixture of certain colors will bring out more than one mood.

If you are planning to do the bathroom remodeling yourself; first make a list of what you would want your new bathroom to look like. You should always start with a theme, or a color scheme. Starting this way will give you an advantage, because once you chose a theme or particular colors, you can work everything else into it.

To make your bathroom look larger than it actually is put a few throw rugs down and you could put a flower shelf at the window or artificial flowers depending on the lighting. Placing mirrors on darker walls will help brighten the bathroom up by reflecting the light from other parts of the room. If you need more light over the sink for close up shaving or putting on cosmetics, just install another medicine chest that has lights and an individual switch to turn the lights on and off instead of at the wall. However, you could also wire the lights on the medicine chest to come on when the wall switch is turned on. This usually affects the power bill, and that would be up to your discretion whether to do that.

Splashboards are a protective covering around sinks and bathtubs to help keep water from damaging the walls and the under lying lumber. You can purchase pre-constructed splashboards that will allow you to go so high, or you may choose to make a splashboard yourself. You can use a sheet of Formica, plastic or a water resistant metal, such as stainless steel. And you can decide for yourself how high and how wide you would like the splashboard to be.

Many contractors and home improvement stores have employees that are very willing to help you with any question you may have. They are trained to tell you how certain materials will work, which materials are the best to use. And what tools you will need to help you with the job you want to do.

These people can help you pick accessories, or flooring and tiles, for the job you are going to do. Tell you what other materials will also go good with the theme or the color scheme that you have.

Product Videos Help Customers Shop Online

TradeWindsImports.com is a company that sells bathroom vanities, vessel sinks, mirrors, lightings, cabinets, baths, and showers. They are developing a new system to make more customers happy: they are loading video footage of their products that they then display online, so that customers can get a better idea of what a product looks like before they make any purchases. Many customers are surprised when they see something they purchased online for the first time, as it was not how they had imagined it from the displayed picture on the website. Hopefully there will be fewer returns and more satisfied customers with the new video technology.

Appealing Bathroom Updates On A Small Budget

Like a kitchen, a bathroom is one of the hardest working rooms in the house. Though certainly not the highlight of anyone's home, a bathroom may be the most visited room in a house. Since it is used so often, it needs to not only be functional, but also look good.

So, if you're planning to update your bathroom, but working under a budget, keep reading for 7 great improvements that you can do this weekend.

1. Update the cabinetry.

Updating your sink cabinet or vanity with a fresh coat of paint and some new fixtures is an affordable and easy way to instantly modernize your bathroom. If it's in your budget, try updating the cabinet tops as well. Because bathroom counters are so small, you can often purchase marble ends at a reduced cost.

2. Get a glass shower.

Say goodbye to shower curtains and update your bathroom with a glass shower door. Not only will you make the space look bigger, but you'll also increase the value of your home with this modern update.

3. Paint the tile.

If you can't afford to update all your tiling, painting the tile can be a great way to instantly refresh a bathroom.

Usually, you can't paint over tile that's next to a tub or shower (any area that's exposed to moisture), but otherwise painting is a fast way to make a bathroom feel new again.

4. Update your linens.

Give your bathroom an affordable overhaul with luxury linens. Indulging in some new towels will take your bathroom from suburban nightmare to city chic.

5. Light it up.

That dingy, old light fixture needs to go. Take your bathroom out of the eighties by installing a new and fresh light fixture that's bright, clean and contemporary. Not only will the extra lighting make the room seem bigger, it will instantly add value to your home.

6. Go for new fixtures.

Updating your plumbing fixtures can instantly refresh the look of a tired sink or shower. Remove your dingy, soap scum-stained retro faucets and welcome a sleek, new sink. With most faucets costing less than $50, this is a cheap and easy update that can instantly add glamour to your bathroom space.

7. Try tub lining.

Tub liners are pieces of PVC or acrylic which are fitted over your existing bath tub. While a liner is typically slightly more expensive than refinishing, it's a durable and quick way to update an entire shower, including the walls.

Bathroom Lights And Interior Design For Bathroom

Are you a homeowner? Do you feel that "end of summer rush" to upgrade your home with the implementation of some fantastic new designs? While it may be too ambitious to remodel each room, it may be a more realistic choice to commence in one room and focus on multiple interior design elements. Start off in the bath and you’ll be amazed as to how many basic alterations you can make that will seriously affect the personality and overall atmosphere of your bath.

Your biggest concern is the general or ambient lighting when selecting lighting for your bathroom. Illumination may reflect off the cabinet mirrors and create illusions. Also consider the medicine cabinet light that will provide you with ample visibility. You don't want to select the wrong medication out of there! Ensure that your bathroom is well lit with Bath Vanity Lighting.

Today, it seems that a large portion of homeowners would rather light their bathroom with natural lighting because it is more energy efficient and reduces maintenance. While large windows, draperies and sky lights are elegant lighting techniques, they may also create a spectacle for people passing by. Or, especially during the winter season, cloudy days probably won’t provide sufficient vanity lighting for your needs. And what do you do when it’s the evening? An illuminating bathroom light will indeed do the trick when it comes to keeping your bathroom bright. Or if you don’t want to make a Bathroom too bright or abrasive, choose soft lighting or even a light with a dimmer switch so you and your guests can customize how much light they want or need.

Natural lighting is atractive, but synthetic lighting can look almost, if not just, as good. You have a lot of options, including task lighting, Bath Vanity Lighting, spa lights, and shower lights; these are all fixtures that emphasize lighting yourbath perfectly. Whichever one or ones you choose, Bath Vanity Lighting should make it so you can shave, apply make up and lotions, bathe, and carry out other tasks efficiently and accurately. Lights placed directly at the mirrors' sides diminish shadows.

Bathroom lighting is more than just functional: it's stylish too! Choose lighting that matches the interior décor of your bathroom. Geometric shapes in lighting may work well with contemporary and contemporary bathrooms, while antiqued lanterns are beautiful in more traditional homes. Consider hand-made lights, mirrored lights, and other extraordinary fixtures to make your Bath Vanity unique. By carefully choosing your Bath Vanity Lighting, you will end up with a practically functioning and beautiful-looking bath.
