Building Your Dream House After Retirement
Today, most retirees and seniors prefer to age at their own homes rather than to live near their children and grandchildren or in a nursing home. With developed modern technology we now have today, living in the comforts of your home after retirement is now much more possible. Therefore, you can use the money you saved for years to have much more fun at designing your dream house. So let us take a look of your dream house- the house you will live in for the rest of your life.
First, make sure you have a wide entrance with a ramp on the inside instead of a step. Make sure too that the floor's area rug or carpet has a base of protection against falling or impeding the entry of a wheelchair or walker. A carpet is probably the best idea here. This has elegance and functionality.
Preferably, get your dream house with just one level, preventing you from future stress and fatigue from having to climb to and from the stairs. But if you really want to have a second floor, make sure there are banisters or handrails on both sides.
